New Season, New Kit, New Player!

Wigan St Patricks are pleased to unveil their new home and away kits for the 2018 National Conference League campaign.  The kit comes after the NCL’s sponsorship deal with Rhino Sports and Arnold Clark Motors and with the new kit also comes a new player signing!

The club are delighted to announce the signing of Australian Joey Meninga who has recently arrived from Queensland to join the club having previously played for the Maroochydore Swans and representing Vanuatu.   Joey is the nephew of legendary Aussie Mal Meninga .

Joey’s signing comes on the back of sheer hard work from Head Coach John Ellis who is looking to strengthen the squad for the 2018 season.  The club has also welcomed Ryan Powell into the coaching team and he will bring a wealth of coaching experience to his role.

“We are looking for a big improvement this season and the addition of both Joey and Ryan to the club will certainly help, Joey has been introduced to his team mates and he’s fitting into the squad well.  We’re hopeful that Joey won’t be the last Aussie recruit for this season.”  - John Ellis - Wigan St Patricks Head Coach

The signing also shows the high regard in which the amateur game in England is held.
