Change Ahead!

Following the resignation of Head Coach Ryan Powell and the subsequent decision from John Ellis to also leave the club Wigan St Patricks are now on the hunt for a new Open Age first team coach.

Having not made the end of season league playoffs this means that both Ryan and John have now coached their last games at the club.

The clubs wishes to extend its gratitude and thanks for the hard work and commitment that they have brought to their roles at the club, both proving to be worthy clubmen who gave much back to the club that they both played at as juniors, John in particular having been with the club in one capacity or another for 40 years or so. Both leave with the very best wishes of the players, club and supporters alike. 

We would like to wish them both every success in whatever venture they pursue next and in particular Ryan who has just become a father for the first time.

As for next season, the club will shortly release an invitation for applications for the Head Coaches position. So watch this space…
